Brian White Typical Rick Miller album. Full of mood and atmosphere. Very well produced with great musical arrangements. There is some beautiful guitar again which I personally think is under used. Still a very good album which is what we have become used to from him. If your a fan then its a must.

The Plague 12:20
I live with my family in Cock and Key Alley The year 1665. The son of a gravedigger gave me a trade, A shilling a grave kept us alive. But then the darkness comes as I greet the rising sun. The pall of the black death hangs over me, As I count the morning dead. Their doors are marked with red. The stench of miasma in the air, From which the plague is fed. The dogs and the cats have now been taken away. There’s nothing left to stop them now so the rats rule the day. My mother and brother are now locked up inside, Along with my father who they tell me has died. But then the darkness comes as I greet the rising sun. The pall of the black death hangs over me, As I count the morning dead. Their doors are marked with red. I’m certain that God has forsaken this place, Where angels fear to tread. The plague came and went that year in Cock and Key Alley, A third of the population died. My family were counted with the numbers of dead. I dig their unmarked graves as I cry.

There’s people out there in the street, They’ve got something to say. But it’s hard to get your message across, When you’re kept six feet away. There’s a river flowing through my town, Where once I used to play. But danger signs are everywhere now, So the children stay away. I don’t wanna live in a constant state of emergency, That politicians create. People need to see where the money goes, Who is walking around wearing rich man’s clothes. The world is getting hotter, they tell me every day. A climate state of emergency will keep the heat away. Life was a risky business, But now the worriers rule the day. I guess I’ll hide under my table, Till the danger goes away. I don’t want to live in a constant state of emergency, That politicians create. People need to see where the money goes, Who is walking around wearing rich man’s clothes.

I stay awake at night, I read these books by candlelight. The mantle clock ticks quietly, as voices whisper in my dreams. I see ghosts at night, their faces bathed in firelight. Their hollow eyes, they question me. Their voices haunt me silently. The nightmares haunt me constantly, I walk these halls where I know I’ve been. I find myself at the top of the stairs, These voices follow me everywhere. Falling weightless to the night below.

La Causa 03:38
The breeze from the ocean has come to the land, Bringing life to a dangerous place. I spend my time searching for clues in the sand, These days are killing me slowly. The cause that we fought for, you know was lost from the start. The dreams that we died for, you sold out my heart. The tears that I cried are now locked up inside, I’ve learned to let go of the past. The choices you made and the promise you gave, Are lost like rain on the grass. The cause that we fought for, you know was lost from the start. The dreams that we died for, you sold out my heart.

The system lies to me every day, The politicians are afraid to say. The media says Donald Trump’s to blame. I long for some truth in my life. I live a life of fantasy, My dreams can take me from reality. But then it ends as night turns into day. I long for what’s real in my life. Rocket man spent his time on Mars, And Timothy Leary took it all too far. The stuff I take to keep the demons away, Is killing me a little more each day. I look for some peace in my heart. I reach for your hand in the dark.

The birds have all gone quiet as the rain begins to fall, I walk garden pathways to a vine covered wall. I kneel beside the tree, and place flowers on your grave, You died a hundred years ago but I miss you just the same. For eternity, the curse that follows me. The road to my home is on the coast down by the sea. The sirens on the rocks they sometimes call out to me. I don’t know what they’re waiting for, There’s nothing left to see. Endless time and broken clocks are all that’s left for me. For eternity, to die is to be free.

I’m unstuck in time now as I drift the ages through. Like Billy Pilgrim, I have lost a time to hold onto. Peel back the years now to a place that I once knew. To do all the things that I missed including you. I’m lost in the future now, it’s a place where dreams come true. The trees, the grass are just things of the past. Here everything is new. I’m unstuck in time now as I drift the ages through. Like Billy Pilgrim, I have lost a time to hold onto.

Like Billy Pilgrim, I've lost a time to hold onto...

The Unstuck In Time CD is available from PPR at www.ppr-shop.de/epages/62161184.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62161184/Products/PPR-089

This is my most recent album, in the genre of what I would call Progressive Rock. That term defining (in my opinion), the type of music that was made famous throughout the 70s by bands such as Genesis, The Moody Blues and Pink Floyd. The music is soft, dark and melodic with the occasional edge, because that's the way I like it. So if your idea of Prog Rock is heavy metal and jazz fusion, then it is unlikely you will find anything of interest here. I do hope you enjoy though.. and thanks for listening.
